Mangia’s: The Italian vacanza, through a Mediterranean lens

This summer we travelled to Sicily and Sardinia to capture the very essence of the vacanza italiana.

Mangia’s Hotels & Resorts, one of Italy’s most emblematic hospitality brands, entrusted La Siesta with the conceptualization and art direction of the campaigns for two of its most iconic destinations: Mangia’s Brucoli (Sicily) and Mangia’s Santa Teresa (Sardinia).

We led the project from start to finish — defining narratives, color palettes, styling, and visual rhythm that would connect naturally with each resort’s architecture and surroundings. We designed and produced photo and video sessions with a cast that truly reflects Mangia’s real audience: a family with two young girls, two couples, and two groups of friends. We coordinated looks, atrezzo, and art for each scene, taking care of every detail so that the final result breathed the Mediterranean spirit: light, texture, gastronomy, and joy.

Both in Brucoli and Santa Teresa, the focus was on portraying how life unfolds in the resort — how guests experience it: diving into the sea or the pool, afternoon naps, aperitivo with Aperol stretching into sunset. In short, enjoying… but enjoying slowly.

The outcome is a visual campaign —photography and video— that captures the unique character of Mangia’s and speaks directly to its audience: families, couples, and friends seeking a place to unwind, connect with their surroundings, and embrace Italian tradition.

A collection of content that today shapes the hotels’ digital presence, from their social media channels to their website.
